Founded by architect and artist Omar Greig, OMRGR believe that design is not just about form, it is about connection. A connection to materials, to history, and most importantly, to the hands that shape our world.
Our studio was founded on a simple yet ambitious premise, to bridge the gap between contemporary design and age old craftsmanship. We are an interior architecture and design studio rooted in the heritage of Lebanon, dedicated to creating objects that carry the soul of their makers.
The Land: Wood & Workshop
Our furniture collection is a dialogue with the earth. We work with high end American Walnut and aromatic Cedar, timbers chosen for their warmth and resilience. But the true value of these pieces lies in their construction. We partner with local woodworking ateliers, reviving traditional joinery techniques that have been passed down through generations. By empowering these artisans, we ensure that every chair and table is not just a product, but a testament to the enduring legacy of the craft.
The Sea: Resin & Resilience
Our lighting collection tells a different story, one of survival and the sea. Born from the coastal towns of North Lebanon, our sculptural lamps are created in collaboration with the local fishing community. We utilize the same marine grade fiberglass and resin used to build and repair fishing boats, transforming industrial strength into delicate, translucent light. This partnership honors the ingenuity of the fisherman’s trade, repurposing their skills to create objects of unexpected beauty.
Our Philosophy
Whether it is the grain of the wood or the texture of the resin, our materials are honest, and our methods are transparent. We are committed to a sustainable, mutually beneficial relationship between design and craft, one where the designer’s vision empowers the maker’s hand, and the maker’s skill breathes life into the designer’s form.
