"I AM INTERESTED IN THE SMALLEST SCALE OF ARCHITECTURE. THE PIECES THAT HOLD US, SUPPORT US, AND SHAPE THE RITUALS OF EVERYDAY LIFE. A CHAIR IS NOT JUST FURNITURE. A LAMP IS NOT JUST LIGHT. THEY ARE STRUCTURES OF PRESENCE WITHIN A ROOM."
Founded by architect and artist Omar Greig, OMRGR studio was born from a return to origins.
After years working in architecture and interior space, the focus shifted toward the objects that define how we inhabit those spaces. The chair we sit on, the light that shapes a room, the sculptural forms that quietly hold presence.
The first pieces emerged from experimentation with local materials and traditional craftsmanship. In collaboration with fishermen and artisans, fiberglass, the same material used to build and repair fishing boats was transformed into sculptural lamps that capture light like small suns within a space.
From there, the work expanded into collectible chairs and objects, each conceived as a small piece of architecture for the body.
Every object carries the same intention: to connect material, craft, and human presence. Produced in limited series and shaped through collaboration with local workshops, the pieces exist somewhere between furniture, sculpture, and artifact. They are designed not only to be used, but to be kept, lived with, and collected over time.
